About Us
50 Shades of Pink Foundation is a 501(c) (3), national non-profit organization. It was established in 2013 by Dr. Jacqueline Walters, a 2x breast cancer survivor who believes if you look good, you feel good, and ultimately “You Do Good”.
Our Mission
To champion health equity for Black women by addressing systemic barriers and promoting fair access to comprehensive healthcare, education, and support services. We are committed to empowering Black women to thrive in all aspects of their health and well-being, with a particular focus on cultural advancement, preventive care, and self-advocacy.
Our Vision
We envision a future where Black women enjoy equal health outcomes and access essential resources for their overall well-being. We aim to eradicate period poverty, improve cancer outcomes, and eliminate maternal health disparities in Black communities. Through advocacy, education, and community support, we strive to transform healthcare systems and societal norms, ensuring every Black woman receives dignified, comprehensive care throughout her health journey.

The Cause
Founded by Dr. Jackie Walters, better known as Dr. Jackie, the 50 Shades of Pink Foundation is dedicated to championing the health and well-being of women, particularly those impacted by breast cancer and other health disparities. As a two-time breast cancer survivor, Dr. Jackie created the foundation to provide not only critical support but also holistic care that nurtures the whole person—addressing the emotional, physical, and social challenges faced by women throughout their health journey.
While breast cancer remains a cornerstone of the foundation's work, the mission has expanded to address systemic health inequities affecting women, especially Black women. By promoting preventive care, education, and advocacy, the foundation ensures that all women have access to the resources, dignity, and support needed to thrive. The 50 Shades of Pink Foundation is committed to making every woman feel empowered to reclaim her health and become a true champion.
